Rindge, N.H. – The No. 25-ranked Felician University baseball team made program history on Sunday afternoon, punching its ticket to the NCAA Division II College World Series in Cary, North Carolina, with a thrilling 7–6 victory over Franklin Pierce in Game 3 of the NCAA East Super Regional. Facing a 3–0 deficit entering the bottom of the fourth inning, the Golden Falcons responded with a dramatic six-run rally to seize control. Though Franklin Pierce chipped away with runs in the eighth and ninth innings, Felician held firm, and Jaxson Wall's walk-off home run sealed the program's first-ever Super Regional title in spectacular fashion.
After falling behind early, Felician's offense ignited in the fourth inning with a sequence of disciplined at-bats and timely hitting. The rally began with a walk by Andrew DeAngelis, followed by a single from Luis DeLaCruz. With one out, Haiden Walters then drew a walk to load the bases. Bryan Santana delivered a clutch RBI single to right field, scoring DeAngelis and advancing the runners. Neisser Sanchez was hit by a pitch, forcing in another run. With the bases still loaded, Matt Scrivanic delivered the defining swing of the inning—a towering grand slam that cleared the left field wall and gave Felician a 6–3 lead. It was a moment of offensive brilliance that completely shifted the momentum.
The final blow came in the bottom of the ninth. With the game tied 6–6 and the season hanging in the balance, Wall stepped to the plate and crushed the first pitch he saw over the wall in right field, setting off a celebration as Felician clinched its spot on the national stage.
Offensively, the Golden Falcons scored seven runs on six hits, including two home runs. They showed patience and composure at the plate, drawing seven walks while striking out only three times. Defensively, the team was sound, turning three double plays and committing just one error. The pitching staff combined to navigate nine high-pressure innings, allowing six runs on eight hits, striking out seven, and issuing eight walks.
Bryan Santana contributed to the offensive surge, going 1-for-4 with an RBI and a run scored during the pivotal fourth inning. Jaxson Wall, despite finishing 1-for-5, delivered the game's most memorable moment with his walk-off solo shot in the ninth. Matt Scrivanic's grand slam—his only hit in three at-bats—was the offensive centerpiece that shifted momentum in the fourth.
On the mound, Logan Waltz overcame a slow start to deliver a strong five-inning outing, allowing just four hits and three runs while striking out seven. Johnny Gilligan followed with 2.1 innings of effective relief, surrendering two hits and one run with one strikeout. Gavin Enright closed the door in the final 1.2 innings, working around trouble to allow two runs while earning the win—his third of the season.
With the victory, Felician advances to the NCAA Division II College World Series, continuing a historic postseason run that has showcased the team's grit, resilience, and offensive firepower. The Golden Falcons enter the national tournament as the No. 8 seed and will face top-ranked University of Tampa in the opening round. First pitch is scheduled for 6:00 PM on Saturday, May 31, as Felician looks to extend its remarkable season on the sport's biggest stage.
