Softball Set To Host Jefferson In The CACC Tournament Following A Series Sweep Against Post

Box Score 1 | Box Score 2

Nutley, NJ - Felician celebrated Senior Day by honoring 11 seniors and capped the afternoon with a doubleheader sweep over Post, winning 10–0 in Game One and 3–0 in Game Two. With the sweep, the Golden Falcons also clinched the No. 2 seed in the CACC Tournament, securing the first home postseason game in program history.

Game One

After a quiet start, the Falcons erupted in the third. The inning featured six runs on six hits, beginning with an RBI double from Kimberly Torres. Karina De La Vega followed with a run-scoring single, and Felician continued to apply pressure with execution plays—Alyson Walling brought in a run on a bunt, Sara Torres added an RBI single, and Brielle Cubala capped the inning with another RBI knock as the lead quickly grew to 6–0.

Felician added on in the fourth with a different look. Mikayla Brown delivered the biggest swing of the day, launching a three-run home run to extend the lead, and the Falcons tacked on another run later in the inning to reach double digits.

Kimberly Torres and Karina De La Vega each recorded two hits and drove in a run, while Mikayla Brown finished with a home run and three RBI. Sara Torres and Brielle Cubala also added multi-hit efforts as Felician totaled 10 hits.

In the circle, Jocelyn Moody was in full control, tossing a complete-game shutout and allowing just three hits while keeping Post off the board throughout.

Game Two

Felician managed three runs on four hits, taking advantage of key moments rather than volume. The breakthrough came in the fourth inning, where pressure on the bases led to the first run, followed by a two-out RBI single from Kelsey Vitalis to make it 2–0.

The Falcons added an insurance run in the sixth. Kailey Alas singled to keep the inning alive, and Vitalis came through again with another RBI base hit to extend the lead to three.

Kelsey Vitalis led the offense with two hits and two RBI, while Kailey Alas added a pair of hits. Felician worked five walks as a team to help manufacture offense despite limited hits.

In the circle, Felician combined for a shutout effort. Skye Limardo handled the start, Mallory Shevlin earned the win with strong middle-inning work, and Jazel Lopez closed it out to secure the save.

Felician will now turn its attention to the postseason, hosting Jefferson on Saturday at Father Glotzbach Park in Nutley, NJ, with first pitch scheduled for 3:30 PM.
