New Castle, Del - Felician emerged victorious in a thrilling 10–9 matchup against Jefferson in the CACC Semifinals. The Golden Falcons executed a balanced offensive attack and overcame four fielding errors with a determined effort on the mound. With this victory, the Golden Falcons advance to the CACC Championship Game against Wilmington.
As a team, Felician recorded twelve hits, including three doubles, and drew six walks. They also were hit by three pitches and struck out seven times, leaving twelve runners on base. Despite aggressive base running, the team only managed one stolen base, courtesy of Jaxson Wall. Five of their RBIs came with two outs, showcasing their ability to deliver in clutch situations. Defensively, Felician recorded twenty-seven putouts and twelve assists but committed four errors. Still, they turned three double plays that helped suppress Jefferson's late-inning momentum. While not flawless in the field, the team's strong pitching and timely defense held up under pressure. The pitching staff allowed eleven hits and six earned runs while walking six and striking out five. They hit three batters and induced eleven groundouts and eight flyouts, with multiple relievers contributing to key stops in high-leverage moments.
The game broke open in the 3rd inning when Felician struck first with two runs, capitalizing on Jefferson's early defensive miscues. A momentum-shifting 4th inning added three more runs, giving Felician a 5–0 lead. Although Jefferson responded with a five-run surge in the bottom half, Felician answered back with single runs in the 5th and 7th innings before exploding for three in the 8th to extend the lead. Those late insurance runs proved decisive, as Jefferson rallied but ultimately came up short.
Several players stepped up for Felician on offense. Third baseman Haiden Walters had a standout performance, going 3-for-6 with 2 RBIs and a run scored, including two clutch two-out hits. Center fielder Christian Bauman was another key contributor, going 2-for-4 with two doubles, two RBIs, and a run. Right fielder Andrew DeAngelis added two hits, two runs, and a walk from the lower half of the lineup, while designated hitter Chris Corchado reached base three times, including a double and two walks, and scored twice. Felician utilized a deep bullpen behind starter Johnny Gilligan, who threw 3.0 innings and allowed just two earned runs. Jackson Walsh earned the win with 2.0 innings of effective middle relief, striking out two while allowing no earned runs. The save went to Gavin Enright, who threw 1.1 innings of steady work in the 9th to close out the game and secure his sixth save of the season.
